Sun Tzu, also known as Sunzi or Sun Wu, was an ancient Chinese military strategist, philosopher, and author. He is best known for his book "The Art of War", which is a classic treatise on military strategy and tactics. Sun Tzu is believed to have lived during the Eastern Zhou period of ancient China, likely in the 5th century BCE, although the exact dates of his birth and death are uncertain.
