Znarin considers her uncle –⁠ the one who had obstructed her education and nearly arranged her marriage –⁠ as one of her companions. The fate of northeastern Syria and the Kurdish women and men residing there remains uncertain. Regardless of what unfolds, Kurdish women will persist in advocating for their rights.
