The futuristic tale occurs in the oppressive country of Panem, comprised of 12 sectors. The yearly Hunger Games are a cruel exhibition of dominance by the ruling area: a televised combat to the demise among 24 juvenile tributes chosen from all over the 12 districts.
After her younger sibling is chosen for the games, 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen volunteers to go in her place. Alongside male tribute Peeta, she journeys to the Capitol to get ready for the games.
Within the battleground, Katniss uses her ingenuity, hunting abilities, and partnerships to endure lethal rivals and the perilous terrain. When just Katniss and Peeta are left as survivors, they opt to deceive the system and ingest toxic berries, prompting the game inventors to declare them both conquerors. This act of rebellion transforms Katniss into a symbol of the developing uprising in the succeeding books. Want to introduce to your team? Were you aware we also provide corporate subscriptions?
