Activists also played a crucial role in exposing injustices, such as the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII and the abuses at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, leading to legal and societal reckonings. These examples underscore the enduring power of activism to challenge authority and reshape societal norms.
