Despite his success as a double agent, Gordievsky’s personal life suffered, marked by strained relationships and eventual exile in London. His daring escape from the USSR, orchestrated with MI6’s help, remains a legendary feat of espionage. Though his actions altered the course of history, his life in exile was marked by isolation, even as his contributions were celebrated globally.
