Résumé du livre
Rick Warren has lectured at Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford. He is the founder of the global P.E.A.C.E. plan, which supports the poor and provides education as well as many other resources in 196 countries.
Nearly everyone has looked up at the night sky and pondered the meaning of life—a question Christianity answers by affirming that we were created by God to worship Him. This purpose is not random; God intentionally designed every aspect of our lives, from our talents to our relationships, for a specific ministry within His greater plan. Faith, however, is not a solitary journey. By joining God’s family through faith in Jesus Christ and connecting with fellow believers, we gain eternal life, a Christ-centered community, and a deeper relationship with God. Worship extends beyond rituals and church services; it’s about expressing gratitude in daily moments and remaining faithful, especially during hardships like Noah did. Christians are also called to be missionaries, sharing God’s message of reconciliation in their everyday lives. Yet, obstacles like envy can distract us from living purposefully. Instead, we are encouraged to emulate Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, and to cultivate habits and relationships that reflect God’s will. By focusing on God and evaluating our actions, we can overcome worldly distractions and live a life aligned with His purpose.
