Résumé du livre
Dominique Antiglio is a Swiss-born sophrologist and osteopath who took up the practice of sophrology at the age of 15 to overcome serious health issues. She gained a masters degree in Caycedian sophrology in 2006, after studying in Spain with the founder of the method, Professor Alfonso Caycedo. In 2011, she established a leading sophrology clinic, BeSophro, in London.
Sophrology offers a structured approach to harmonizing the mind and body, beginning with foundational practices that are accessible and transformative. Level 1 exercises, such as the Head Rotation, use gentle movements and breathing to release tension, improve focus, and foster a sense of balance. Revisiting positive past experiences through visualization exercises like Empowering Past Visualization can boost confidence and optimism, while tools like The Bag help combat negative thoughts by externalizing and releasing them. For sleep improvement, the Sleep Gatekeeper exercise trains the mind to prepare for restful nights through consistent daytime practice. Sophrology also addresses future anxieties with visualization techniques, encouraging individuals to imagine and embrace positive transformations. Rooted in the philosophy of balance, sophrology was developed by Alfonso Caycedo, who combined Eastern practices with Western medicine to create a holistic system of 12 levels. The journey begins with the Foundation Practice, including the Body Scan, which deepens the connection between mind and body, fostering relaxation and heightened awareness. These practices empower individuals to achieve well-being, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
