Résumé du livre
Joseph Deitch is an American businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist known for his work in the financial services industry and his contributions to the field of wealth management.
There is more to life than simply surviving – it's about achieving ever-increasing levels of competence and, in the end, achieving success and fulfillment. The problem is that sometimes we don't know where to begin. Yet, the process isn't complicated at all. If you want to change something in your life, ask yourself what you want to change, and keep trying until you find the answer. Once you get the answer, you need to focus on structuring your time in the most efficient way and maintaining a healthy body and mind.
Seek out the needs and wants of the people around you.
When people around you don't seem to understand what you're saying, does it annoy you? Do you observe that your partner seems unhappy but has no idea why? No matter what's bothering you, stop the stalling. It's simple: Stop trying to be telepathic, and talk to each other! When you want to resolve an issue, it is important to ask other people what they would like. With that in mind, it is easier for you to meet their needs or explain why you cannot do so logically.
“Discomfort may be a doorway; don’t run from it.”
“When in doubt, adopt an attitude of curiosity.”
“A key to dramatic growth is to recognize an amazing paradox: By accepting and actually embracing our limitations, we allow ourselves to open up to the knowledge, experience, and insights of others.”
