Regardless of how bad things appear or how negative your thoughts might be, putting a little distance between you and your chatter will make life easier. By changing your surroundings or by changing your perspective, you can achieve this. In the end, try to see your problem in the context of the big picture; this will make it appear smaller.
Write about your thoughts.
Negative experiences can be relieved by writing them down. Addressing yourself in the second person helps create distance between you and whatever upsets you. Hence, the next time you experience negative thoughts, take 20 minutes to write them out. Without a doubt, you will feel relieved by it.
