George Orwell

The animals of Manor Farm, inspired by Old Major’s dream of a world free from human oppression, rallied around his call for rebellion. After his death, the pigs, led by Napoleon and Snowball, developed his teachings into Animalism, uniting the animals under the promise of equality and freedom. Their revolt against Mr. Jones led to the establishment of Animal Farm, where they worked tirelessly under the Seven Commandments. However, tensions arose as Napoleon and Snowball clashed, culminating in Snowball’s expulsion and Napoleon’s consolidation of power. Under Napoleon’s rule, the farm grew increasingly oppressive, with propaganda, altered Commandments, and brutal enforcement silencing dissent. The animals endured hardships, including the destruction of the windmill and Boxer’s tragic disappearance, while clinging to the belief they were building a better future. Over time, the pigs adopted human traits, walking on two legs and collaborating with farmers, ultimately betraying the ideals of the Rebellion as the farm reverted to its original name, Manor Farm.
