Buchzusammenfassung
Dr. Kate Darling is a writer as well as a Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab. Her studies center on the interactions between technology and society. She keeps writing and speaking about interactions between humans and robots.
Throughout history, humans have been exposed to the concept of robots as human-like machines which are frequently smarter and more powerful than they are. Many people now view robots as posing a threat to humans. The fear that robots might replace us in the workforce and gain more influence over our lives has grown as a result of recent developments in artificial intelligence. However, technology is still far from being able to completely replace the human brain or perform tasks that only humans are capable of. The future of robotics is more likely to resemble our interaction with animals, which has historically proven advantageous in a variety of ways. Like animals, robots may serve as both companions and tools. They can help us complete tasks and accomplish goals that would otherwise be impossible. As more robots enter our homes, we may face many ethical questions and problems, but by understanding our history with animals, we can find answers to these questions.
"Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat, is a powerful illumination of how we really behave toward animals."
